This puppet is a rarity made in Germany circa late 19th Century. The carving and painting on this piece are remarkable. Little boy has a fabric body with some lovely small wooden hands and legs. The costume is very worn with holes and stains. The fabric part of the legs have been folded and sewn to the skirt to make them look shorter. The head also shows wear with scuffs,

They are from German origin and likely handcrafted in the early 20th Century
