Producers had been put off by its susceptibility to disease and the absolute precision required for the harvest time (a day late and the acidity can be lost)

named after the huge barrel that it is aged in at Cantina Girlan

rose and citrus elements are lifted

though there are plans to increase this by a barrel or two when the new vineyard comes on stream in the future
