I captured this scene at the onset of autumn when the cottonwoods were beginning to change color
these flowers appear out of place in the North Country and can more than ten years before they first blossom
a sliver of clear weather cracked the western horizon and allowed the final moments of sun to light up the sky with colors as vibrant as any I've ever seen
