Michelia x 'Jack Fogg' Size:3 gal size tree 36" - 42" tall 4 years oldThis interesting tree is a hybrid of Michalea doltsopa and Michalea figo. The tree will be 15 ft or so in 20 years, with shiny, dark green evergreen leaves that have buds coated with coppery indumentum. The May and June blooming flowers are white tinged with pink purple on the edges, and like M. figo, fragrant with hints of banana cream pie. Likes full sun to part shade away from drying winds. Hardy to zone 7.
